I am a conformist
December 4th, 2006
I too shall have a drawing blog and will fill it with every ounce of mediocrity I can muster. I promise to do my best to update this thing often with stuff that I am not proud of and shall earn me no admirers. Wow, that’s like the last ten years of my life crammed into one crappy place. Ciao!

This is a general comment, not specifically meant for the image above. You are way too hard on yourself. I think you should spend less time worrying about your technical proficiency, because I don’t see any problems. I tend to go a bit crazy with the healing tool too, but I don’t care. If thats the reason people don’t like my work, then they are blind idiots I don’t want looking at my work anyway. Those people tend to pick apart every detail forgetting that you are supposed to look at the art and just enjoy it for what it is. Your stuff looks great, you have a nicely developed style that seems to be your own. I think I see a bit of John Kricfalusi’s (ren and stimpy) influence, but that could be just my imagination, and a bit of the old black and white 1930’s assorted disney or warner bros musical characters. thats anot a bad thing. I like your drawings and digital work the best. You have some realy good stuff in there. I have no doubts about your talents as an illustrator, keep at it, and continue to promote your stuff, someone is sure to notice eventually.
