ALL ABOUT ME:

I was raised in a small town close to Flint, Michigan, where my father worked for General Motors. It was a rather typical small town childhood: I blew things up, killed small animals, was arrested numerous times for curfew violations, picked on and tormented by my peers until I developed a crushing sense of inadequacy and self-loathing . . . ya know, typical childhood stuff.

Following high school, I attended Michigan State University (I don't know why) and received a B.A. in English (I don't know why). In 1998 I moved to Portland, OR with no special skills or particular talents. I eventually attained a job as a storyboard artist at Will Vinton Studios working on an animated TV show (The PJs, a show that ran for 3 years, yet somehow no one remembers it). I worked in animation on and off for the next several years, did freelance illustration, worked in comics, and did various things on music videos and short films. I moved to San Francisco in 2004 and did a 180 and now work in publishing in production. I still draw comics, illustrate, and sometimes animate.

I live in San Francisco with my beautiful wife, Yoshiko, and our cat, Milk Chan. I spend most of my free time working on a never-ending onslaught of personal projects that will hopefully see the light of day before the end of the century.
